CrammingCramming is an illegal practice that occurs when phone companies place unauthorized or misleading charges on your phone bill. Either accidentally or on purpose your local or long distance company may charge you for services you did not authorize. Cramming also occurs when your phone service provider does not include an accurate explanation as to all the charges on your phone bill. Even though you might have authorized a particular service, not being informed on all the charges is still considered cramming. In order to avoid being "crammed" carefully review your telephone bill and make sure you are aware of all the services and charges listed. If you consider that you've been crammed contact your phone company and request an adjustment of your bill. You can also file a complaint with the FCC Back
